Exodus
Exodus (2025-Present) (Sole Developer)
Survival Board Game Set During the 10 Plagues of Egypt
Exodus was built in a similar fashion to the Oregon Trail, in that it is a brute force team survival game where you are expected to die. I am currently working on Iteration 5 of the game, and now that I’ve gotten the gameplay loop locked down, I’m working on simplifying the game, cleaning it up, and making it more new-player accessible. I’ve had a lot of difficulty with trying to make sure that new players can understand the game, especially players that don’t understand card game terms as well. I’ve landed on a fix where I’m going to rework the rules entirely, adding images and making it easier to trace what does what- on top of adding the gameplay loop to the plague board (the game board) for quick reference. I expect the game to be ready for release in late 2026 or early 2027.
Video Game
Survival Roguelike Version of the Board Game
As a second part to the Exodus project, I started working on a video game roguelike version of the original board game I made. The idea with this is that instead of playing with a group of people and coordinating your moves and such, you can control all four characters and have much higher control over the miniscule details of the game. Thus, I can make the game much more difficult and complex- allowing me to add a lot of cards that I have chosen not to include in the initial board game because of their complexity/difficulty.
This is still heavily in development.
